Eric Haddock

Eric Haddock attended Albany State University (GA) where he played football for four years at the wide receiver position. After a career in education that took him from Georgia to Maryland, he moved to Raleigh, NC in 2006 with his wife Tiffany and their four children Jayon, Eric, Jr. (EJ), Nevaeh and Jackson. After settling in, Haddock immediately found his calling through coaching Football and Track & Field at Sanderson High School. While at Sanderson, he was afforded the opportunity to work with several talented athletes: notably Matthew James (Wake Forest University).

In 2008 Coach Haddock became the Football Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Track Coach at Knightdale High School. Within a year, Haddock helped in constructing one of the winningest track programs in North Carolina history. At Knightdale, he and his team enjoyed 4-straight NCHSAA Boys State Championships.

With a legacy of success beginning to take root in The Triangle, Haddock later accepted the challenge of commandeering what had been a struggling South East Raleigh Boys Track Programin 2012. Under his coaching, Haddock’s Boys Program finished3rd at the NCHSAA Indoor State Championships.

In addition to coaching at the high school level, Haddock also coached Summer Club Track & Field with the Carolina EaglesT/F Club. It was here that he cultivated his community outreach approach and was fortunate enough to instruct multiple National Champions in the High Jump and several State and Regional Champions in an array of other events.

After 7 fulfilling years as a high school coach, Haddock transitioned into the arena of Workforce Development in 2013. Though a different field, his passion for youth never waivered as he accepted the role of the NCWorks Youth Center and Youth Advocate/Job Developer. It was there that he recognized the practice of multiple entities working in silos (as opposed to together) while attempting to help small groups of at-risk youth obtain sustainable employment. With this realization, Eric created what would become lasting partnerships with Wake County Public School System, Wake Technical Community College, numerous local businesses and The NCWorks Youth Center to employ over 120 at-risk youths utilizing his On-The-Job-Training process.
